On-Duty Officer Assaulted; DC Police Release Photo Of Suspect
Metropolitan Police Department detectives are looking for a man they say assaulted an on-duty officer Saturday night on K Street.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection with an assault on a police officer that occurred Saturday night on K Street, according to a police release.
Police say that around 7:05 p.m. the suspect was involved in a physical altercation with another person in the 1600 block of K Street, Northwest. When an on-duty MPD officer attempted to intervene, the suspect struck him with an unknown object. The officer was treated at a nearby hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
MPD released a photo of the suspect. Anyone who can identify the person in the photo or has information about the incident is asked to call 202-727-9099 or text a tip to MPD's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District.
