Fatal Shooting Of 19-Year-Old Southeast Man Investigated By DC Police
D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting Tuesday night of 19-year-old Deonte Pittman of Southeast.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are looking for the person who fatally shot 19-year-old Deonte Pittman of Southeast on Tuesday night, according to a police release.
Officers from MPD's Seventh District found Pittman, around 8:05 p.m., suffering from a gunshot wound in the Unit Block of Galveston Street, Southwest, according to police.
D.C. Fire and EMS took Pittman to an area hospital, but all lifesaving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
