Fatal Shooting Of 44-Year-Old Alexandria Man In Northeast DC Under Investigation By Police
D.C. police officers discovered the body of a 44-year-old Alexandria man Thursday morning in an alley in the Kingman Park neighborhood.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investing the fatal shooting of 44-year-old Artavarn Wagner of Alexandria, whose body was found around 6:03 a.m. Thursday in a Northeast D.C. alley.
Officers from MPD's Fifth District station discovered Wagner's body after being called to the 1700 block of Gales Street, Northeast for the sounds of gunshots, according to authorities.
Emergency medical personnel examined Wagner, who had been shot multiple times, and determined that he was deceased. He was later taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police ask anyone with information about this case to contact MPD at 202-727-9099. The department is currently officer a $25,000 reward for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for a homicide in the District.
