Fatal Shooting In Brentwood Investigated By DC Police

D.C. Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a Southeast man that took place Saturday in Brentwood.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the fatal shooting of a Southeast man Saturday in Brentwood, according to a police release. MPD identified the deceased victim as 18-year-old Marquis Harrod.

Around 4:50 p.m., officers from the Fifth District responded to the report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Brentwood Road, N.E. They found Harrod suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS determined that Harrod was showing no signs consistent with life. He was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
