Fatal Shooting In Cardozo Under Investigation: DC Police
D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a Northwest man that took place Tuesday night in the Cardozo area.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that took place late Tuesday night in the Cardozo neighborhood, according to a police release.
Officers from the Third District were dispatched around 11:29 p.m., to the 1300 block of Clifton Street, N.W., for the report of a shooting. They found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS examined the victim and found no signs consistent with life. The victim was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
MPD identified the decedent as Adam Fongyen, 31, of Northwest.
