Fatal Shooting Investigated In Grant Park: DC Police

Homicide detectives are looking for the person responsible for a fatal shooting of a Northeast man Saturday night in the Grant Park area.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Monday night in Grant Park, according to a release.

Officers from the Sixth District responded to the report of the sound of gunshots in the 300 block of 55th Street, N.E. They found an adult man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but all life-saving efforts failed and the man was pronounced dead.

MPD identified the decedent as Tracey James Lee, 44, of Northeast.

Police ask anyone with information about this shooting to call 202-727-9099 or text an anonymous tip to 50411. MPD is currently offering $25,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects responsible for any homicide in the District.
