DC Homicide Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting On Friday Morning Of A Northeast Man

D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Sedrick Miller of Northeast on Friday morning.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Sedrick Miller of Northeast on Friday, according to a police release.

Officers from MPD's Fifth District found Miller, who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, around 8:30 a.m. on Friday in the 2300 block of 18th Street, Northeast, according to police.

D.C. Fire and Rescue personnel examined Miller and determined that he had died. His body was later taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, according to authorities.

MPD had been called to the Langdon area on Friday for the report of gunshots being heard.

Police ask anyone with information about this case to contact MPD at 202-727-9099. The department is currently officer a $25,000 reward for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for a homicide in the District.
