Fatal Shooting Of Southeast Man In Anacostia Investigated By Police

D.C. homicide detectives are investigating Wednesday's fatal shooting of 24-year-old Davon Sullivan in Anacostia.

WASHINGTON, DC — D.C. homicide detectives are looking for the person responsible for the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Davon Sullivan of Southeast on Wednesday afternoon in Anacostia, according to a police release.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District found Sullivan, suffering from gunshot wounds, after being dispatched around 3:39 p.m. to the 2300 block of Green Street, Southeast for the report of a shooting.

Emergency medical personnel examined Sullivan and determined that he had died. His body was late taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call MPD at 202-727-9099. Anonymous tips may be submitted via the department's text tip line by texting a message to 50411.
