Fatal Shooting Of Southeast Man Under Investigation: DC Police
D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the Wednesday afternoon fatal shooting of a Southeast man.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are looking for the individual responsible for a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Southeast, according to a police report.
Around 2:24 p.m., officers from the Seventh District responded to the 400 block of Southern Ave., S.E., after hearing gunshots. They found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but all life-saving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead. Police identified the decedent as Christopher Washington, 30, of Southeast
MPD is offering a $25,000 reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for any homicide in the District. Police ask anyone with information about the fatal shooting of Washington to call 202-727-9099 or submit an anonymous tip by texting 50411.
