Fatal Shooting Of Southeast Man Under Investigation: DC Police

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are looking for the individual responsible for a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Southeast, according to a police report.

Around 2:24 p.m., officers from the Seventh District responded to the 400 block of Southern Ave., S.E., after hearing gunshots. They found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but all life-saving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead. Police identified the decedent as Christopher Washington, 30, of Southeast

MPD is offering a $25,000 reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for any homicide in the District.
