DC Man Arrested In Fatal Stabbing Near Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling
A D.C. man faces a first degree murder charge in the fatal stabbing of 60-year-old Orlando Murphy of Southeast on Tuesday.

WASHINGTON, DC — Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 51-year-old Huey Bandy on Wednesday in connection with the fatal stabbing of 60-year-old Orlando Murphy of Southeast near Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, according to a release. Bandy was charged with first degree murder while armed.
Officers from the Seventh District responded around 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, to the 600 block of Brothers Place, Southeast to as assist D.C. Fire & EMS with the victim of a stabbing. Arriving on the scene, police found Murphy suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Emergency medical personnel determined that Murphy had died. They later transported him to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
