FBI Assists DC Police In Search For 2018 Murder Suspect

Two federal law enforcement agencies are assisting DC Police in locating Juvon Julian Searles​ in connection with a 2018 fatal shooting.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The Washington Field Office of the FBI and the the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Task Force are helping the Metropolitan Police Department locate Juvon Julian Searles, who is wanted for the a 2018 fatal shooting in Northwest, D.C., according to an FBI release.

MPD officers responded on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, around 8:16 p.m.,to the report of gunshots in the 800 Block of R Street, N.W. Arriving on the scene, they found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to local hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

The Superior Court of the District of Columbia charged Searles on Dec. 4, 2018, with Second Degree Murder While Armed. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to Searles' arrest. Additional money may be available. The FBI warns Searles is considered armed and dangerous.
