FBI Searching for Weapons Stolen From Agent's Vehicle
It's offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information on stolen lockbox.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The FBI's Washington Field Office is trying to recover a set of weapons, equipment and ammunition that was stolen this month from an agent's vehicle, and it's offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information.
The theft occurred at some time between midnight and 2 a.m. on July 10, the bureau said in a statement. Unknown individuals broke into a special agent’s vehicle and removed a secured gun lockbox that contained a Glock handgun, a rifle and other gear. The vehicle was parked in the H Street Corridor near H and Seventh streets NE.
The lockbox contained the items listed below:

- Glock22 handgun .40 caliber, Serial Number RYE448
- Rock River Arms Rifle, LAR15, Serial Number CM156996
- Motorola radio APX7000, Serial Number 655CLT044
- Holster for Glock22 handgun
- Asp collapsible baton
- Oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray
- Two boxes of .40 caliber ammunition
- Hearing and eye protective gear
- TruckVault gun lockbox, black
The FBI is working with the Metropolitan Police Department and other law enforcement agencies in the area to locate the weapons and gear. Anyone with information should call the field office at 202-278-2000 or visit tips.fbi.gov. Individuals can remain anonymous.
