Fire Breaks Out At Smithsonian Castle: DC Fire And EMS

BREAKING: DC Fire officials extinguished a fire at the Smithsonian Castle in Southwest Washington Wednesday afternoon.

(Updated 3:50 p.m. Wednesday): WASHINGTON, DC — DC Fire officials extinguished an accidental electric fire at the Smithsonian Castle in Southwest Washington Wednesday.

The building at 1000 Jefferson Dr. was evacuated at around 12 p.m., officials said. There are no reports of any injuries.

The fire broke out on the fourth floor and was contained by sprinklers.
