Fitbit Launches Free Workout Series In DC

WASHINGTON, DC — Fitbit is launching a series of free, monthly workouts for the DC community. Fitbit Local DC will kick off Saturday, July 15 at The Yards Park.

Fitbit Local includes city led fitness ambassadors from the DC community. A fitness class can cost a lot, so the people at Fitbit want to offer free community workout classes for residents to access fun and sought-after fitness instructors for free.

Fitbit Local Ambassadors and DC's top trainers, Chris Perrin and Cynthia Lorena, will lead an energizing, all-levels workout that combines a bodyweight bootcamp and yoga flow.

There will be a live DJ to keep participants pumped up throughout the workout, and a lot of excitement afterwards, including healthy snacks and beverages, free t-shirts and a raffle with product giveaways.

The first 300 people to arrive will go home with a Fitbit yoga mat, so get there early! Attendees are asked to bring their own yoga mat in case they're not one of the first 300. Please register for the event here.

• Raffle & Meet Your Ambassadors, 9:45-10:15 a.m.
• Bootcamp Blast with Chris Perrin, 10:15-10:45 a.m.
• Yoga Flow with Cynthia Lorena, 10:45-11:15 a.m.
• Refreshments, Raffle and Giveaways, 11:15-11:30 a.m.

Fitbit Local has attracted nearly 5,000 people to 100+ events across the country since 2015, and in DC they expect nearly 1,000 people of all fitness levels to join in the boot camp and yoga workout. Following the launch event, Chris and Cynthia will continue to host free, monthly fitness events in the D.C. community.
