Fort Totten Homicide Suspect Caught On Video: Police
Metropolitan Police Department released surveillance footage of an individual in connection with a July 10 fatal shooting.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect caught on video in connection with a July 10 homicide in Fort Totten, according to a police release.
Around 5:59 p.m., officers from the Fourth District responded to the 4900 block of North Capitol St., N.E., for the report of a shooting. Arriving on the scene, they found an unconscious male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS determined the victim showed no signs consistent with life and transported him later to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
MPD identified the victim as Jose Yaxon Cuc, 45, of Northwest.

Police release a video of the suspect that was captured on a nearby surveillance camera. Police ask anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or his whereabouts to call 202-727-9099 or send a text message to 50411.
