Free Drinks At Compass Coffee To Celebrate New DC Dental Studio
Tend, a new dentistry business, is celebrating its arrival in D.C. by offering any drink of choice at two Compass Coffee locations in D.C.
WASHINGTON, DC — Tend, a new dentistry business, is partnering with Compass Coffee to celebrate its grand opening in Washington, D.C., by covering the cost of a free drink for all customers at two Compass Coffee locations in the city.
Compass Coffee also has created two drinks exclusively for the Tend grand opening celebration: a Vanilla Mint Cold Brew and a Vanilla Mint Vienna, which is a frozen, blended drink.
Compass Coffee will be offering a free drink to guests, including the two special drinks, on Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its Compass Coffee Georgetown location at 1351 Wisconsin Ave NW and on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its Compass Coffee Roastery in the Shaw neighborhood at 1535 7th St NW.

On Monday, Aug. 9, Tend will be opening its first dentistry studio in D.C.: its Capitol Hill location at 600 Pennsylvania Ave. SE. Two additional locations — its Navy Yard studio at 250 M St. SE and its studio in the 14th and U St. area at 1439 U St. NW — will open on Aug. 16. A fourth Tend studio in downtown D.C. at 1901 L St. NW will open on Aug. 23.
Tend's expansion into D.C., its first market outside of New York City, was made possible by $125 million in funding from investors in a recent round of fundraising. The company is eyeing eventually opening a total of 15 locations in the D.C. metropolitan area.

Tend started in October 2019 in New York City with the goal of providing an innovative approach to oral healthcare that combines hospitality with patient experience. Tend has already opened six locations in New York.
Its services include dental exams, Breezy Braces, oral surgery and emergency care. Breezy Braces are a teeth-straightening technology that goes behind your teeth.
Tend studios have screens that explain each step of the treatment to their patients. The company accepts most dental insurance plans and bills for services through insurance like a typical dentist's office.
Founded in 2014, Compass Coffee has 12 brick and mortar locations across the D.C. area and the roasting facility in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood
