Gay Pride Parade to Shut Down Dupont, Logan Circles This Weekend
The Capital Pride Alliance is hosting a parade Saturday afternoon that will make much of the Dupont area inaccessible to drivers.

If you plan on commuting into D.C. this weekend, it would be wise to avoid the Dupont Circle area, as the Metropolitan Police Department has announced road closures for the Capital Pride Parade.
Tens of thousands of people will head to the area to watch the parade travel 1.5 miles through Dupont Circle and 17th Street, ending in the Logan Circle neighborhood on Saturday, June 11. The parade will start at 4:30 p.m., but the roads will be closed much earlier than that -- from 1 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., according to a police statement.
The parade route is above, but a much larger section of that area will be closed off to drivers:
