The legendary 9:30 Club is hosting a variety program to air on public television this spring.

A new variety show is coming to the 9:30 Club in D.C., and the big launch is right around the corner.

"Live at 9:30" will launch later this month, and the new concert series will air on public television. The music variety show was filmed at the legendary 9:30 Club near Howard University. The 9:30 Club was called the "Best Big Room in America" by Rolling Stone, and is one of the most respected venues among musicians nationwide.

"Each episode spotlights a unique roster of special guests and a diverse range of featured talent," the website states. "From music to comedy. From alt-rock to soul to synthpop. From emerging stars to living legends.
