High-Speed Crash Into Brick Wall Caught On Video

WASHINGTON, DC -- A dramatic high-speed crash that occurred in the Capitol Hill neighborhood was captured on video and posted online Saturday. Despite crashing into a brick wall, the driver received only minor injures.

On Thursday, Jan. 2, at about 12:02 p.m., a man drove his car at a high rate of speed down an alleyway in the unit block of 7th Street, Northeast and crashed into a brick wall, according to Alaina Gertz, a public affairs specialist with the Metropolitan Police Department. D.C. Fire and EMS personnel transported the driver to a local hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

In this video, as it appears on the Neighbors app, witnesses come to the driver's aid following the crash. One person can be heard calling emergency services.
