All of the hustle and bustle leading up to holiday week are behind you, now it's time to go out in the community and see what activities your family can find to enjoy. Whether it's viewing light displays, listening to music or even going for a hike, there's plenty to do across Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia.

Enchant Christmas

Everyone can enjoy holiday magic at Enchant. General admission includes full access to the World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze, a food and Christmas Market experience featuring more than 60 vendors, Santa’s Landing, Kid Zone, and the Ice Skating Trail. Kids up to the age of 3 are free!

ZooLights

5-9 p.m., at the Smithsonian's National Zoo, 3001 Connecticut Ave. N.W., Washington

Every night through Jan. 1, join the thousands of visitors to the Smithsonian's National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute to enjoy light installations, live musical performances and tasty winter treats. Free.

Winter Walk of Lights in Vienna

5:30 p.m. at Meadowlark Gardens, 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Court, Vienna

Bring the family out to enjoy the magical Winter Walk of Lights at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna. Every year from mid-November until just after New Year’s Day, the garden is transformed into a half-mile, animated walk of lights. Revisit perennial favorites such as the Lakeside Lights, the Fountain of Lights, and the Holiday Nature Walk. Purchase tickets ahead of time.

Ice & Lights at Cameron Run

5-10 p.m., at Cameron Run Regional Park, 4001 Eisenhower Ave., Alexandria

The winter wonderland features an ice rink, beautifully lit photo ops, music and more. Visitors will be able to grab a slice of pizza and roast marshmallows over the fire pits. Purchase tickets ahead of time.

Christmas Eve Dinner

6-9 p.m., at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City, 1250 S. Hayes St., Arlington

Take a break from the stress of holiday cooking and allow our Chef to create a festive dining experience in fyve Restaurant Lounge. $89 per adult | $119 with wine pairing | $40 per child ages four to 10.

Christmas Day Brunch

Encore Creativity for Older Adults Holiday Concert

Encore Chorale and Encore Rocks, the dynamic ensembles created specifically for adults over 55, will return to the John F. Kennedy Center for an evening of crowd-pleasing holiday music in the Concert Hall.

Holiday Light Spectacular

Samovar has performed an exciting mix of Russian, Ukrainian, and Gypsy (Romani) folk music in the Washington, D.C. area since 1996. Besides the U.S. Botanical Garden, performance venues include the Hillwood Museum, the Russian and Ukrainian Embassies, the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, and many, many church bazaars. Winter Break Mini Camp/Play in a Day

9 A.M.- 3 P.M., at Encore Stage & Studio, 4000 Lorcom Lane, Arlington

Are you ready for a challenge? Students in third-fifth grade will work together to create a brand new play in just one camp day! Using their imaginations, students will develop the script and story, create the setting, and star in the show. This never before seen production will be performed at the end of the day for family and friends.
