Homeless Man Tries To Sexually Assault Woman In DC: Police

A 34-year-old homeless man was arrested for attempting to sexually assault a woman in downtown DC Wednesday, police said.

WASHINGTON, DC — A 34-year-old homeless man was arrested for attempting to sexually assault a woman in downtown DC Wednesday, police said.

At about 11 a.m., police were called to the 600 block of F St. NW. The suspect—identified as Michael Anthony Spencer of no fixed address— allegedly pushed the victim to the ground and tried to sexually assault her, police said.

The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Spencer was placed under arrest and charged with Assault with Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse, police said.
