Homicide Arrest In Brentwood Fatal Shooting: DC Police

D.C. Police arrested a suspect in connection with the June 6 fatal shooting of a Southeast man.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a suspect in connection with a June 6 fatal shooting in Brentwood, according to a police release. MPD identified the deceased victim as Marquis Harrod, 18, of Southeast.

Around 4:50 p.m., officers from the Fifth District responded to the report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Brentwood Road, N.E. They found Harrod suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS determined that Harrod was showing no signs consistent with life. He was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Micah Bidgell, 24, of Northeast on Wednesday, charging him with second degree murder while armed.
