Homicide In Washington Highlands Under Investigation By Police

D.C. Police detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a Southeast man Tuesday in Washington Highlands.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Tuesday morning in Washington Highlands, according to a police release.

Officers from the Seventh District responded on Tuesday, March 10, around 9:30 a.m., to the report of a person down in the 1200 block of Barnaby Terrace, S.E. Arriving officers found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS were unable to find signs of life and the body of the victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD identified the decedent as Alkhenala Al-Fatah, 41, of Southeast.
