Homicide Suspect Charged In Brentwood Fatal Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department arrested a suspect in the June 6 fatal shooting of a Southeast man in Brentwood, according to a police release. MPD identified the deceased victim as 18 year-old Marquis Harrod.

Around 4:50 p.m., officers from the Fifth District responded to the report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Brentwood Road, N.E. They found Harrod suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS determined that Harrod was showing no signs consistent with life. He was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Micah Bidgell, 24, of Northeast, and charged him with second degree murder while armed.
