Homicide Suspect Identified in July 12 Fatal Shooting: Police
D.C. homicide detectives identified and released photos of a suspect in connection with the July 12 fatal shooting of a Northeast woman.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department identified a suspect Wednesday in connection with the July 12 fatal sooting of a Northeast woman, according to a police release.
Around 4:02 a.m., officers from the Fifth District were dispatched to the 800 block of 19th Street, N.E., for the report of a shooting. They found an adult woman inside a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS determined the victim showed no signs consistent with life and later transported her to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. MPD identified the deceased victim as Shanika Williams, 28, of Northeast.
On Wednesday, MPD identified the suspect as Steven Martin Robinson, 29, of Southeast. MPD released the following photos:

Wanted on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant for second degree murder while armed, Robinson should be considered armed and dangerous. Police are asking the public's to help in locating Robinson.
