Huge Crash on I-295 in DC, Mass Casualty Event Reported [VIDEO]
Four cars were involved in a bad crash in Northeast D.C. on I-295 southbound early Thursday.

WASHINGTON, DC — Ten patients were sent to the hospital early Thursday morning after a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Northeast D.C.
D.C. Fire and EMS tweeted just before 6 a.m. that there had been a four-vehicle accident at Burroughs Avenue NE and I-295 southbound, and 10 patients required treatment with two of them possibly having serious injuries.
D.C. Fire and EMS added that they were declaring it a mass casualty event, and one vehicle was on top of another.

About a half hour later, D.C. Fire and EMS tweeted a video of patients being loaded into an ambulance, adding: "All patients packaged and in process of being transported from I-295. Awaiting final patient count."
Later, officials reported that one of the patients had received potentially life-threatening injuries, while another had "serious" injuries. The rest of them had lesser injuries.
