Huge Group Of ATV, Dirt Bike Riders Spotted In DC (Video)

Video shows them popping wheelies as they roll through a neighborhood between Logan and Dupont circles.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Once again, a massive group of ATV and dirt bike riders has been spotted rolling through D.C., this time between Logan and Dupont circles.

Twitter user Kristen Hernandez posted video of the group, embedded below, which she says was taken at P Street just before 17th Street. She said that Metropolitan Police Department cars were tailing them slowly, and that there were more than 100 riders.

People illegally riding ATVs and dirt bikes on city streets has become a major headache for local police, who have been trying to crack down on the practice. ATVs and dirt bikes are not street legal, but police have difficulty catching riders because they travel in large groups and their vehicles make it easy for them to escape enforcement.

A group was also spotted Sunday in Rosslyn, although there is no indication whether this is the same group.
