The release of "Fire and Fury" was moved up a few days after it set off a firestorm in D.C., with President Trump threatening to sue the publisher if it was released. Already, it has caused a public rift between Trump and Steve Bannon, who once held a key position at the White House but had "lost his mind" after he was fired, Trump said in a blistering statement in response to the book. According to the book, Bannon said that Donald Trump, Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer to get dirt on Hillary Clinton was "treasonous."
