Huge Wait Times In DC For Metro Trains This Weekend
If you plan on using Metro this weekend, you'll be waiting for a long time between trains.
WASHINGTON, DC -- Traveling around the D.C. area won't be easy this week, at least if you are relying on the Metro system.
Thanks to track work, the entire system will experience wait times stretching up to a half hour on Saturday and Sunday. The Orange, Silver, and Blue lines will have 24 minute waits, and Red Line trains will operate every 28 minutes. The Yellow and Green lines won't be affected as much, but even they will only operate only once every 15 minutes.
The Silver Line trains, which will be operating every 24 minutes, will only go from Wiehle-Reston East to Ballston, meaning if you want to go farther than that you'll have to change lines, according to an announcement from WMATA.
