Hunting for Easter Eggs? Check Out These Events

A historic mansion, public parks and the Washington Nationals are hosting the Easter Bunny this week.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Easter Bunny will visit the Nation's Capital this week in these special events for children and families:

Friday, April 14 - 10:30 a.m. - Egg Hunt at Tudor Place, 1644 31st St. NW, Georgetown - Rolling green lawns, bright spring blooms, and the elegant mansion on a hill serve as a backdrop for this festive annual attraction.

This event has limited tickets for members ONLY. If you wish to attend, please sign up for a FAMILY membership here and call Hillary Rothberg at 202-965-0400 to register.

Children of all ages will enjoy an Egg Hunt and thrilling Egg Roll (10:45 a.m.) down the grand South Lawn. Bring your camera! Self-guided tours of Tudor Place’s 5½ acres of glorious gardens are also available.

Bring your own basket, spoon and one hard-boiled egg per child. This outdoor event occurs rain or shine. Please dress for the weather. Food and drink, as well as a reusable bag, will be provided by Whole Foods Market.

Saturday, April 15 - 10 a.m. to noon - Eggstravaganza at Langdon Park, 2901 20th St. NE - This free event features an egg hunt, games, sports and an inflatable obstacle course. Join us for community fun Easter weekend! For more information, click here.

Saturday, April 15 - noon to 3 p.m. - Eggstravaganza at Capitol Hill-Lincoln Park, East Capitol Street between 11th and 13th streets - This free event features 10 egg hunts with 20,000 eggs! Also the Easter Bunny, snacks, photo booth, games, raffle, DJ, face painting and so much more!

Easter Sunday, April 16 - 1:35 p.m. - Easter Egg Hunt with the Washington Nationals - Nationals Park, 1500 S. Capitol St. SE. Kids ages 3-8 hunt for Easter eggs in the outfield following the baseball game against the Philadelphia Phillies

Take home a commemorative wooden Easter egg and basket with the purchase of a special ticket. Both parents and kids must purchase a special ticket to participate. Tickets: $30 to $60.
