Ivanka Trump is Moving to DC: Report

Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, are reportedly house-hunting in the District.

WASHINGTON, DC — The daughter of President-elect Donald Trump has been house-hunting in D.C. recently along with her husband, according to a report.

CNN is reporting that Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner are looking to move from New York City to the District with their three children, indicating that Kushner is likely to be an adviser to Donald Trump in some capacity.

It's unclear exactly what Kushner's role will be, as an anti-nepotism law passed in 1967 would make it difficult to bring him on in an official capacity. Still, experts expect that the Trump's White House will find some legal role for him.

There had been rumors that Ivanka Trump would also have an advisory role, but it appears that the Trump children will be primarily charged with managing his business affairs and properties.

Incoming White House chief of staff Reince Preibus, on NBC's "Today" show, said: "I think Jared Kushner, obviously [Trump's] son-in-law is going to be very involved in decision-making."
