Langdon Shooting Victim Succumbs To Injuries: DC Police
The victim in an Aug. 9 shooting in the Langdon area succumbed to his injuries Sunday. The case is now being investigated as a homicide.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Aug. 9 in the Langdon area, according to a police release.
Officers from the Fifth District responded around 6:58:p.m., to the report of shooting in the 2400 block of Franklin Street, N.E.. They found an adult man inside of a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The victim, identified as Richard Bangura, 18, Northeast, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
