Lone Cherry Blossom Blooms on the DC Tidal Basin (Photos)
Just before the big chill, one cherry blossom has raced ahead of the others.

WASHINGTON, DC — The temperatures are going to take a big dip starting Friday, and unfortunately for one cherry blossom on the Tidal Basin, it's peaked just before the plunge.
A predicted bout of cold weather for the area pushed back the projected peak bloom date for the cherry blossoms from March 14-17 to March 19-22.
In addition, another Twitter user said they spotted one other tree that had half-bloomed.
