Lyft Announces 2019 Lyftie Award Winners In Washington, DC

WASHINGTON, DC - Lyft has announced its winners for its fifth annual Lyftie Awards.

The Lyftie Awards recognizes the most popular destination across the country, and Washington, DC was named one of the winners. Lyftie Award winners in DC include:

• Most Celebrated Venue: Nationals Park
• Top Transit Stop: Union Station
• Late Night Neighborhood: Dupont Circle
• DC Late Night Hero Driver: Scott Tanner
• Most Celebrated Restaurant/Bar: Busboys and Poets
• Top Bike and Scooter Destination: William Jefferson Clinton West Building
• Best DC City Advice from a Lyft Driver: Dorma Guice

"I have two mainstays in DC that rarely disappoint - Capitol Hill and the college scene. We Lyft drivers in DC are fortunate to have what I call "Polywood" (Hollywood for politics). Not only are you likely to pick up power-players like Nancy Pelosi, but White House and Congressional Staffers who work tirelessly well into the night.," said Guice. "Also, I grossly underestimated how much of a college town Washington DC is. With over twenty colleges and universities just in DC alone, I am never at a loss for rides.
