Major Bernie Sanders Rally at RFK Stadium Thursday

The Democratic presidential candidate is in town to visit with the president.

The parking lot outside RFK Stadium will be rocking like a 1980s Redskins game tomorrow.

Hillary Clinton may be the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, but Bernie Sanders has no intention of conceding anytime soon, and he plans to hold a rally featuring his famously raucous supporters in the parking lot of RFK Stadium on June 9 at 4 p.m., according to a statement.

The rally comes after a meeting with President Obama, who recently congratulated Sanders on a hard-fought campaign -- a not-so-subtle hint from the president to get out of the way that Sanders has no intention of heeding.

"The Democratic Party presidential candidate will hold a rally in Southeast," the statement reads, although the location of the rally is technically in Northeast. "Sanders will discuss a wide range of issues, including getting big money out of politics, his plan to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, combating climate change and ensuring universal health care."

The statement indicates the event will be held at RFK Stadium, but it will actually be held in Lot 3 at 2001 E. Capitol St. SE, just northwest of the stadium.

The event is free and open to the public, although an RSVP is suggested. The campaign is asking visitors to not bring bags. You can access the event via Metro at the Stadium Armory Station. Lot 3 is located at the corner of 19th Street NE and Constitution Avenue NE.
