Man, 28, Found Shot To Death Saturday In Southeast DC: Police

D.C. police discovered 28-year-old Mark Cobrand suffering from gunshot wounds Saturday morning on the District's border with Maryland.

WASHINGTON, DC — Mark Cobrand, 28, of no fixed address was found fatally wounded Saturday morning on the District's Southwest border with Maryland.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department found Cobrand suffering from gunshot wounds after responding around 10:55 a.m., for the report of an unconscious person in the 4200 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast.

D.C. Fire and EMS medical personnel examined Cobrand and determined that he had died. They later took him to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.

Anyone with information about Cobrand's deaths is asked to call MPD at 202-727-9099. Anonymous tips may be submitted via the department's text tip line by texting a message to 50411.
