Man Dies Following Congress Heights Shooting: DC Police
D.C. Police are investigating a Monday night shooting incident in Congress Heights that left three people injured and one person dead.
WASHINGTON, DC — Four people were injured, one fatally, following a Monday night shooting in Congress Heights, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release.
Officers from the Seventh District responded around 8:30 p.m., to the 400 block of Orange St., S.E., for the sounds of gunshots. They found four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS transported one of the victims, an adult man, to a nearby hospital to be treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound. The remaining three victims — one man and two women — were taken to area hospitals to receive treatment for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The first victim succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday and was pronounced dead. MPD identified him as Bobby Plummer, 42, of no fixed address.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons responsible for committing a homicide in the District. Police ask anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099 or send an anonymous tip by text to 50411.
