Man Impersonating Police Officer Tries To Handcuff DC Cop: Report

The man reportedly was harassing customers inside a Whole Foods on Monday.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A man who was harassing customers inside a Whole Foods on Monday while waving handcuffs around reportedly tried to take a police officer into custody, and even accused him of resisting arrest, according to a report.

Fox 5 reported that Evan Graham, 47, was causing a disturbance in the Whole Foods on I Street NW in Foggy Bottom when an officer was called to deal with the situation.

When officers arrived, Graham pretended to be a cop and slapped a handcuff on one of the real cops, even going so far as to tell the officer to stop resisting.

The officers soon had Graham in custody, and he has since been released on bond, according to the report. He faces charges of false impersonation of a police officer, simple assault, resisting arrest, and other charges.
