Man Pepper Sprays, Assaults Employee Near U Street: Police
A Northwest Washington man has been arrested for pepper spraying and assaulting a store employee during an armed robbery near U Street.
WASHINGTON, DC — A Northwest Washington man has been arrested for pepper spraying and assaulting a store employee during an armed robbery near U Street, police said.
Bryan Ray, 37, is accused of committing an armed robbery in the 1300 block of Florida Avenue, NW., on May 25, 2017.
Ray allegedly entered a business in that area and spoke with the female employee at the counter. He then pepper sprayed and physically assaulted her, police said. Ray then opened the register, took money and fled the scene.

Ray was arrested on Aug. 7 and charged with Armed Robbery of an Establishment.
