Police are searching for a man wanted for three armed robberies within 24 hours in the District.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are searching for a man wanted for three armed robberies within 24 hours in the District.

The first incident occurred the afternoon of June 13 in an establishment in the 3600 block of 12th Street, NE. The suspect entered the store with a scarf covering his head and face, police said. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the scene, police said.

At about 4:23 a.m. June 14, the man entered an establishment in the 1100 block of U Street, NW., with a scarf covering his head and face. The suspect demanded money from the store clerk, who complied, police said. The suspect then fled the scene.

At about 4:41 a.m. June 14, the suspect entered an establishment in the 2300 block of 14th Street, NW., with a scarf covering his head and face. He pointed a handgun at the store clerk and demanded money. The suspect then snatched a wallet out of a customer's hand, police said.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime, including an armed robbery, committed in the District of Columbia.
