Worker Killed By Fallen Tree Near Capitol Building
A man died after a tree fell on him near the Capitol building, D.C. Fire and EMS announced.
WASHINGTON, DC — A man has died after a large part of a tree fell on him near the Capitol building, D.C. Fire and EMS announced.
At around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, a tree fell on a man between Independence Avenue and New Jersey Avenue SE. The man was removed from beneath the tree and taken to a nearby hospital.
Independence Avenue between First Street Southeast and Washington Avenue Southwest was closed for hours due to the incident.
