Man Shot A Block Away From Where Teen Was Gunned Down In Northwest DC
A man was shot early Tuesday morning in Northeast Washington, just a block away from where a teen was shot to death down Sunday.

WASHINGTON, DC — A man was shot early Tuesday morning in Northeast Washington, just a block away from where a teen was gunned down Sunday. (Subscribe to Washington, DC Patch to stay up to date on all local news).
Tuesday's shooting occurred at about 4:35 a.m. in the 4400 block of Ponds Street NE. Police are looking for a burgundy Chrysler in connection to the shooting.
Officers found the man conscious and breathing. They had him taken to the hospital, although they think his injuries were not connected to the gunshots, police said.

A 17-year-old man was shot and killed just a block away Sunday afternoon, WJLA points out. Jermaine Richard was shot to death at the corner of Quarles and 45th streets NE at about 3 p.m. Sunday, police said.
