Maryland Man Charged In Marshall Heights Shooting: DC Police
D.C. Police arrested a Clinton, Maryland man in connection with a March 26 shooting in Marshall Heights.
WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Sixth District have arrested a Maryland man in connection with a March 26 shooting in Marshall Heights, according to a police release.
On Thursday, March 26, around 9:45 p.m., officers from the Sixth District responded to the report of a shooting in the 5000 Block of C Street, S.E. Arriving officers found adult victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Investigators determined that the shooting took place inside a residential building.
Acting on a D.C. Superior Court warrant, detectives arrested Devin Ricks, 21, of Clinton, Maryland, and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon (gun).
