MD Man Killed After Car Collides With Tree: DC Police
D.C. Police are investigating the cause of a vehicle crash that led to the death of a Fort Washington man.
WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Major Crash Investigations Unit of the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a traffic fatality that took place Saturday evening near Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.
Following a preliminary investigation, police say that around 5:55 p.m., a 2020 Dodge Charger was traveling at a high-rate of speed southbound in the 4200 block of Overlook Avenue, S.W. The Charger mounted the right curb and struck a tree head-on. D.C. Fire and EMS took the victim to a hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Police identified the decedent as Ryan Moore, 31, of Fort Washington, Maryland.
