Suspect Identified In Fatal Shooting Of Hyattsville Man In Sursum Corda Neighborhood
D.C. homicide detectives released a photo of a man they say fatally shot 32-year-old Michael Whitehead of Hyattsville, Maryland in February.

WASHINGTON, DC — D.C. homicide detectives released a photo Monday of a man wanted in the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Michael Whitehead of Hyattsville, Maryland, according to a police release. The shooting occurred Feb. 27 in the Sursum Corda neighborhood.
Darrow Johnson, 33, of Clinton, Maryland is wanted on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant for second degree murder while armed in connection with Whitehead's death, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers from the Third District found Whitehead around 5:10 a.m., on Feb. 27, suffering from a gunshot wound. They'd been called to the 100 block of N Street, Northwest for the report of a shooting.

Whitehead was taken to the hospital for treatment, but he later died from his injuries.
MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
