The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is getting Congress working again, and this is what I intend to do about it.

We will bring a better way of being to Congress. The Non-voting Delegate position is the ideal platform from which to espouse reform, provided that the person in that office is neither a Democrat nor a Republican.

Do you support Black Lives Matter and what are your thoughts on the demonstrations held since the death of George Floyd and the shooting of Jacob Blake?

I participated in these protests in the District. However, the police reform bill in Congress was stopped Democrats in the Senate. They filibustered it 45-55 and it did not go to conference. The Democrats cannot speak to this issue at all as result. An Independent leader can.

What are your thoughts on the campaign to "defund" the police?

We are not in favor of defunding the police but we are in favor of "Defunding the Thought Police"

What are your thoughts on the state and national response to the coronavirus pandemic? Do you favor such measures as limiting operation of non-essential businesses or restricting indoor/outdoor dining? And do you favor a nationwide mask mandate?

We favor more precise policy that protects the elderly but frees up the economy at the same time. We do not think that a nationwide mask mandate is constitutional. However, we recognize that our president does not lead by example. I wear a mask wherever I go.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

We are the creators of Douglass County, Maryland. We will be problem solvers, not partisan scorekeepers. We are radical centrists. It's not an oxymoron. After we created Douglass County, Maryland (www.douglasscountymd.org) all of sudden New Columbia was now being called Douglass Commonwealth. Let's fix this together. Join us.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

The District of Columbia is still disenfranchised by law. After 30 years, 15 terms, we can safely say that Eleanor Holmes Norton, has failed us.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform

I am a member of the National Association of Non-partisan Reformers. The one party narrative and incomplete information campaign in DC is over. It's time to get to work.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have tirelessly advocated for creating Douglass County, Maryland. I have spoken at all the ANCs. I have built movement.

If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?

We will win complete voting rights for us in DC for once and fall all.

Why should voters trust you?

Please look for dirt on me. I have nothing to hide. I'm a third generation Washingtonian, who cares and is involved.

What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the use of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?

We are fiscally conservative. Government, usually, does not do a very good job. The private sector, generally speaking, is more effective. However, our tax code begs to be changed. We must create positive incentives that do not protect wealth, but instead, encourage transacting.

Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?

None

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Confront contempt with dignity.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

We are one.
