Metro Commuter Alerts: Police At Metro Station, Tree Hits Train
Police and firefighters are reported at the Federal Center Metro Station, while a train crashed into a train near Dunn Loring, reports say.

WASHINGTON, DC — Friday's evening commute is a bumpy one in parts of the Washington, DC, area, according to reports from users on Metro trains. Accounts on Twitter said authorities were at one Metro station while a tree may have hit a train.
There is no word from WMATA officials on any problems. One person tweeted that police officers and fire crews were swarming into the Federal Center station at 401 Third Street SW in the District.

And a Metro rider tweeted a photo of a tree that crashed into a train near Dunn Loring in the Falls Church area. There was no immediate report of injuries.

Orange Line trains are single tracking between West Falls Church and Vienna because of the downed tree outside Dunn Loring, WMATA said. Expect delays in both directions.
