Metro Train Gets Lost, WMATA Blames The Train: Report
A Blue Line train reportedly somehow ended up on the Orange and Silver lines Tuesday morning.
Passengers on a Blue Line train headed for Franconia somehow found themselves on the Orange and Silver lines at the Courthouse Metro station Tuesday morning, and Metro reportedly said at the time that it was the train's fault.
Riders had to disembark at the Courthouse station and take the Orange line back to Rosslyn in order to get back on the Blue Line. The Washington Post reports that Metro told riders that a "train malfunction" was responsible.
However, the Post reported that a dispatcher could be heard saying over Metro's radio that the train's operator was supposed to go to Franconia but went toward Vienna instead.

Instructed to get off the train at courthouse and catch a train back to Rosslyn so I could then get back onto the blue line

The Post reported that on Monday, a Silver Line train also ended up on the wrong tracks, finding itself on the Blue Line at the Arlington Cemetery station. In that case, Metro said it was caused by signal problems, and the issue had been addressed.
