Metrobus Driver Assaults Passenger: Report

The passenger and driver got into an argument which reportedly got physical.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The driver of a Metrobus has been pulled out of service as authorities investigate a violent confrontation between the driver and a passenger, according to a report.

Fox 5 reports that the incident happened Monday night and began with an argument between the passenger and driver. At some point, the driver allegedly bashed the woman's head into the ground.

The woman, who remained anonymous, showed the bumps and bruises on her forehead to Fox 5.

The incident happened at the intersection of 14th Street and Underwood. The woman claims she told the driver he had passed the stop, leading to an argument at the Takoma Metro station.

The driver got off the bus and approached her again at the stop, and he "grabbed me and threw me on the ground," she told Fox 5, acknowledging that she threw water at him.

The victim's brother was arrested after he arrived at the station and confronted the driver, according to the report.

Authorities are investigating.
