Hope and happiness – The Academy of Hope welcomes a generous donation from MidCity Development at the Academy’s new location in Washington, D.C. Enjoying the moment (from left to right) are Ward 5 Council Member Kenyan McDuffie, Academy of Hope CEO Lecester Johnson and MidCity Board Chairman Eugene F. Ford, Jr. The nonprofit Academy of Hope also got a $200,000 assist from MidCity last year to help it provide workforce development opportunities. The organization provides a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of adult learners, and MidCity’s contribution is an “exciting and welcome addition,” said Ms. Johnson.
MidCity is a family owned and mission driven company rooted in a pioneering spirit and 50-years of excellence in development, acquisition, oversight and management of multifamily housing and mixed use real-estate.
